Their strengths and passions truly complement each other, and they are partners in the truest sense of the word as they bring their collective experiences and wisdom in order to serve and lead.

Pastor Donnie Young is an entrepreneur at heart and a successful businessman with a passion to see people experience the abundance that he has experienced through following Christ and living generously. His love for people, optimism, extravagant generosity and seemingly inexhaustible capacity to see potential characterizes and colors his leadership, communication, and service in the community.
Pastor Sonya Young, a Doctor of Psychology, is passionate about seeing the hurting and broken find healing and restoration, seamlessly complementing the vision of Verve for abundant life. Her goal and mission is to leave the world, and the communities to which she has been called, a better place, and she actively pursues this on both a micro and macro level, positively impacting individuals and thoughtfully influencing culture and vision alike. She is instrumental in ensuring the health and growth of our organization, congregation, staff, leaders, and volunteers.
Together, they have served in ministry for more than two decades and will celebrate 23 years of marriage this year. They have also been blessed with two children, Meghan Young, a nineteen-year-old sophomore in college, and Drew Young, a fifteen-year-old sophomore in high school.
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible to receive all that God has for you each Sunday so you won’t find a dress code here.
All of our worship services include opportunities for prayer, preaching from God’s word, responding to God through generosity, and praising God in song.
Next Gen Kids and Youth serves infants through middle school, creating a nurturing and faith-filled environment tailored to their needs. Parents are welcome to check in their babies to the nursery, allowing them to enjoy the service with peace of mind. We also offer a fully equipped family room for nursing moms or families with young children.
We have guest parking near the front entrance. Next Gen Kids & Youth check-in will either be at the entrance or marked by a giant blue banner inside and to the right. Our welcome team is available to guide you to your seat when you’re ready.
We do not have membership classes, but do encourage all who pass through our doors to attend our Next Steps class to discover your purpose and welcome you into our family.
